Gardner-Webb's cheerleaders and dance team went barefoot in their basketball game vs. High Point last night as part of supporting Samaritan's Feet shoe donation drive. According to the network website, the game is being replayed on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network tonight at 11PM, eastern time. I do not get MASN and did not see the game. Can anyone record it and see if there are any good caps??? Damn, I wish I could have been at the game last night in person!

I watched it last night. The cheerleaders were barefoot until halftime (why they felt compelled to put shoes on at halftime I have no idea.) You can see them well enough to tell they they are barefoot, but at no point were there any close ups, unless I missed something. Strangely, there was no mention at all of the barefoot stuff on the telecast; you would think that the producers would support the charity by making a story out of it. The pregame show last night was pre-empted, so maybe if they show that tonight there will be something, but I doubt it.
If I ran the world, cheerleaders would go barefoot like gymnasts do.

To me barefoot cheerleaders in a real game is like the get of all gets. I have always wanted to see it.
About 20 years ago, there was a NCAA tournament game in town which featured SW Missouri State. On the front page of the sports section was a "Sugar Bear" dancer doing a pose barefoot in the middle of the court. I just about had a heart attack.

I've posted about this before, but the Va. Tech dance team (the "Hightechs") faithfully performed barefoot from '92 through '97...both basketball and football, and even in cold weather. They put shoes on in '98 and I haven't seen them barefoot since. Generally they appeared only at halftime, but they were barefoot on the sideline for the whole game of the '96 Orange Bowl (which VT lost to Nebraska). Swear to God.
